Selling into a new market usually means choosing between two imperfect options: building a direct sales function before you have the volume to justify it, or handing the account to a distributor and losing visibility into the relationship, the message and the margin. There is a third option. Parallaxis can act as your sales agent, representing your brand directly to retailers and corporate buyers, while you keep the customer relationship.

The sales conversation is stronger when it is backed by the same evidence base built under the Parallaxis Proof Steps. With the right evidence converted into compelling claims, Parallaxis can act on your behalf to translate your investment in scientific research into commercial traction.

Why use Parallaxis vs. a Distributor?

Value Capture

A distributor's margin is the price of the reach they provide. Acting as your agent, we represent you directly, so you keep a larger share of the commercial value your evidence-led positioning creates.

Relationship Ownership

A distributor's customer relationship belongs to the distributor, not to you. We build the account relationship in your name, so it is still yours if the arrangement ever changes.

Your Brand is our Priority

A distributor often represents over 50 brands in-market and they focus on whatever is easiest to sell. We purposefully only represent a small number products we truly believe in and that have a unique scientific positioning we know we can sell.

How This Works

  • Representing your brand directly to distributors, retailers or corporate buyers, using the evidence and claims architecture already built with you.
  • Managing the account relationship and communication in your name, not ours.
  • Bringing commercial and regulatory literacy into the sales conversation, so buyer questions about substantiation do not stall a deal.
  • Working to a mandate agreed with you — on markets, customers, and how the relationship transitions if you build a direct sales function later.

When to Talk to Us

You have a product or ingredient with a strong evidence base but no direct sales presence in the market you are targeting.

You are currently selling through a distributor and want to understand what direct representation would look like.

You are planning a channel strategy for a new market and want the claims conversation and the commercial conversation to move together, not separately.

An investor or board has asked how you plan to capture more value from your evidence-led positioning commercially.

Common Questions

What’s the difference between a distributor and a sales agent?

A distributor buys your stock and resells it under their own terms, they typically own the customer relationship. The distributor make a margin that comes when reselling stock. A sales agent represents your company, positioning your product or portfolio to the buyer. You and your company own the customer relationship and retain a higher profit as selling is done directly with customer.

Does this replace an existing sales team, or work alongside it?

It depends where you’re selling. If you don’t yet have a direct sales presence in a market, we act as that presence. If you already have a team, we typically focus on a specific channel, account type or market they’re not covering working to a mandate agreed with you, not in competition with your team.

Which markets or categories does this apply to?

Our sales representation follows our evidence-led categories BioPharma, Animal Health, Personal Care and Cosmetics and the ingredient or finished-product brands within them. It’s most relevant where the sale depends on a buyer understanding the evidence behind a claim, not just the commercial terms.
